How can you learn enough in the equivalent of 24 hrs or 3 days of training? A typical LSS BB class from a reputable provider is 320 hrs of classroom training.

    • Hello Rick,

You ask a very good question! Well…it is like this: I believe you may be somewhat UN-informed. A typical LSSBB class (according to the American Society for Quality) is NOT 320 hours of class room training. A typical LSSBB class from a reputable provider IS 160 hours of in-class training (4 weeks spread across 4 months). Our online class has over 160 contact hours of online self-paced instruction and exercises along with an additional 24 hours of live master black belt instruction and mentoring. It is the best online instruction on the net today. We have merely priced it for a special promotion. After this promotion the enrollment fee will go back to its normal rate of $2500.00 per candidate. Take advantage while you can.

Thank you for your posting and your excellent question!

    • Hello Henri,

Thank you for your question. As you know, there is no generally accepted and government approved accreditation agency for lean six sigma certification. However their are standards which are inculcated into a respectable lean six sigma curriculum. The gold standard is the lean six sigma body of knowledge of the American Society for Quality (ASQ). Their body of knowledge is manufacturing oriented and this curriculum is service related. This curriculum (LSSSE)is based on ASQ’s BOK, isixsigma.com’s BOK, The Project Management Institutes (PMI) BOK and the Criteria for Performance Excellence from the Malcolm Baldrige National Quality Awards. In addition: In accordance with the standards set by the American National Standards Institute (ANSI/IACET 1-2007 Standard for Continuing Education and Training), those who complete the black belt certification program will be awarded Continuing Education Units (CEUs). The Continuing Education Units awarded are nationally recognized units designed to provide a record of an individual’s continuing education accomplishments. One CEU is awarded for each 10 contact hours of instruction.
Within one month after completion of the program, TPMG Educational services will record the completion list of all continuing educational units at TPMG headquarters. This list shall contain:
      • name of the TPMG LLC Course
      • name, dates and location of the program
      • for each attendee, candidate name, email address, phone number, course candidate number.
In addition, in accordance with the standards set by the Project Management Institute (PMP® Credential Handbook last updated 15 May 2012), those who attend and complete the black belt certification program will be awarded Professional Development Units (PDUs). The Professional Development Units awarded are internationally recognized units designed to record a Project Management Professional’s continuing education and quantify approved learning and professional service activities. As a “category B” learning event, each hour of instruction related to project management, as designated by A Guide to the Project Management Body of Knowledge (PMBOK® Guide), equals 1 PDU.

Would I need to have a green belt as a prerequisite for this course. Is the promotion still available?

    • Hello John,

Thank you for your question. There is no prerequisite for this course. All candidates for black belt certification will complete the same program of study. You can start the program without any certification whatsoever. However, if you are PMP or PMI certified, you will receive Professional Development Units (PDUs) for completion. Another value add…..

I recently completed a 24-week Green and Black Belt on-line program through Villanova. Currently, I am preparing fo the certfiication exam. Would this on-line program be a structured study approach to help prepare for the certification exam?

    • Hello Ed,

Congratulations on your completion of Villanova’s program. The answer to your question is as follows: We are not privy to the questions contained in Villanova’s certification exam nor vice versa. Our curriculum and body of knowledge reconciles to ASQ’s lean six sigma body of knowledge and isixsigma.coms bok and our test is designed accordingly. If in your position, I would use the materials provided by Villanova to prepare for Villanova’s exam.

      Hope this helps….
